HEMS GOLENIÓW BASE

Industrial Construction

As part of the investment, a Technical Support Station for the Medical Air Rescue aircraft was built at the HEMS (Helicopter Emergency Medical Service) base in Szczecin. HEMS comprises emergency medical technician teams whose goal is to reach, as fast as possible, those injured in accidents or those who have fallen suddenly ill. Fast reaction would not be possible without constant technical support of the aircraft - the characteristic "yellow rescue helicopters". For this reason, as part of the investment, a steel hangar was built and equipped (including a overhead crane with a 4t lifting capacity and a 30m gate), in addition, social and technical facilities, including office spaces and workshops, were also constructed. Utilities (water - and sewage systems, drainage system, central heating, and a gas installation with two tanks of liquid gas) were supplied, as well as a mechanical ventilation system and air conditioning. A concrete slab was placed in front of the hangar and a fuel station with a fuel tank of 40m3 capacity was built for fueling the aircraft. Infrastructure around the site was also developed, with internal roads, sidewalks, parking places and fencing.
